Early Childhood Education Center Mission Statement
The mission of the faculty at the Early Childhood Education Center is to provide a safe, nurturing, child-centered, and quality educational environment that fosters a child’s individual success and a love of learning in collaboration with parents and the community.About ECEC
Welcome to E.C.E.C.! Wood Dale School District #7 operates an Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC). There are two programs at ECEC serving students, ages three through six. One program is for students eligible for special education. This program serves Wood Dale students and eligible students from surrounding districts that belong to the North DuPage Special Education Cooperative. The other program, open to eligible Wood Dale School District #7 students, is the Prekindergarten At-Risk program, funded by a grant through the Illinois State Board of Education. This program serves three and four-year old children who may be at risk of academic failure due to language, cultural, economic or other concerns. District 7 has received a grant award to fund the program every year since 1986.
