    Character Counts is based on the Six Pillars of Character:

    Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship. 

    At Westview School, we continue to celebrate these traits through several activities aimed at promoting the Six Pillars of Character in daily life.  We encourage families to review the pillars at home and throughout the Wood Dale community.

    We hold a monthly “Character Café,” in which students have the opportunity to have lunch with Mr. Buttimer and discuss how they have demonstrated that Character Counts!  Students nominated for the month of  May, 2023 include the following:
