We know that it is good practice to plan in advance for unexpected events. We realize that our daily routine could come to an abrupt stop if we were to experience a power outage, internet service outage in the area, or other disruption. If this were to happen, we still want learning to continue and have created a contingency plan.
Our staff members have created a set of activities that students could work on without their Chromebooks. In the event that it is necessary, we will also have additional hard copies available for pick-up in the main entrance at Westview. Electronic links are provided below for any families that would like to print their own copies, but please be aware that the size of each file varies from 1 page to many. In the event of a power or internet outage, we would also make an effort to post these links to the main WV website, which might still be accessible through smartphones or tablets using cellular data rather than wi-fi networks.
Reminder, these assignments should NOT be completed now. They should be saved and completed in the event that we have a local emergency preventing us from having our typical learning schedule, such as a power outage or internet service outage.
If you have any general questions about this plan, please feel free to contact the school office. Should you have any questions about the specific assignments, please reach out to your child's teacher for clarification.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and assistance with planning for the unexpected!
