Community Curriculum Advisory Council (CCAC)
In 2004, District 7 established the Community Curriculum Advisory Council (CCAC). The purpose of the Council is to provide on-going two-way communication between the community and school district regarding curriculum issues. Topics may include curriculum adoptions, implementations and mandates; special programming for students such as special education, reading intervention, English Language Learners, and gifted; technology; items that relate to the No Child Left Behind law; and grants. The CCAC is made up of two parents from each school which are chosen by the PTO, a representative from the Board of Education, community members and administrators. If you should have any questions or comments about the CCAC, please contact Dr. Merri Beth Kudrna, Curriculum Director, at 630-595-9510.
