COVID-19 Symptom Screening Procedures for Students
We have invited a small group of students to resume participation in our hybrid model of instruction starting on January 19th. Should local health metrics continue to move in the right direction, we intend to expand, and increase the number of students participating in our hybrid model in the coming weeks. Students who are attending school in-person in the morning or afternoon session need parents to certify that they are healthy to learn, prior to entering the building, each day.
- The form can be opened from home and printed HERE. Copies will also be sent home with children or can be picked up in the school entryway. This is the same form used in the fall, so existing copies at home may be used.
We appreciate your patience with our daily procedures intended to maintain the health and safety of our entire school community. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Westview School Office at 630-766-8040.
Remote Only: All remote-only students at 3rd, 4th, & 5th grades continue with a.m. and p.m. sessions. with no changes planned through the second trimester, which ends February 26th.
Symptoms: Contact the school office to discuss any specific cases at 630-766-8040 to receive more guidance. We are following guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health to determine if a child can attend school in person. Click HERE to view the guidance document.
Picking Up Items from School
The entryway at Westview's main entrance continues to serve as a convenient and safe way to pick up or drop off materials without the need for face to face contact.
Physical books checked out of the Westview library online, books from teachers' classrooms, or other materials are frequently labeled with a student's name and left on one of the two tables in our entryway.
Family members can pull into the bus lane (during Remote Learning) and stop by our entryway to pick up materials anytime from 7:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. during school days. The office staff is available to assist from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. using the white intercom phone in the entryway. Please contact your child's teacher or the school office at 630-766-8040 if you need any assistance arranging to get learning materials for your child to use at home!
If your child needs any assistance connecting to their class Google Meet, please feel free to call the Westivew Office at 630-766-8040.
