MRS. PAM WAWCZAK , TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR HONORED BY THE DUPAGE REGION OF THE ILLINOIS ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS (IASA)

Mrs. Pam Wawczak has been an outstanding supporter and advocate for education and youth programs in the Wood Dale Community for 45 years. Pam began her support for the Wood Dale Schools as a volunteer when her children started attending school in 1981. Pam volunteered to serve as a PTO Committee Chair and a Room Parent the entire time her 3 children attended elementary school.  

In 1985 Pam was employed by District 7 as a lunchroom monitor. Then in 1988, Pam took a position as a bus driver for the district.  Pam’s outstanding organizational skills and leadership abilities led her to being appointed to District 7 Transportation Director in 1999.  In 2001 Pam was given the additional responsibilities of managing the accounts payable department for the Business Office. 

Pam and her husband have been instrumental in organizing the District 7 Education Foundation Pancake Breakfast for the last 10 years.  Additionally, Pam has tallied up countless volunteer hours serving the youth of Wood Dale by working in leadership roles for the Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts, Youth Baseball, Citizens Policing Academy, National Night Out, Peer Jury, and Housing Forward (PADS).
